傑作 -Kessaku- Officially Introducing My Artist Name
So I guess I consider this my first official post in my blog, which I DO plan on updating frequently, despite the fact that I suck at keeping in touch. Now that I have this site, though, I suppose I'm gonna have to or I'll feel really guilty. Anyway, for a while now I have used the pen name "Kessaku-san" along with my real name, Emi Nakamura, whenever I copyright my artwork/images and for other online accounts. I never did explain what it means or why I chose it though. "Kessaku" is a Japanese Element of Design, which you can read about H E R E if you want.
"Creating Masterpieces" with the notion that "doing good enough to get by is not good enough" is what the concept of Kessaku (pronounced kess-ah-koo) entails, not only with art but with life; to me it means refusing to be content and instead needing to achieve the highest form of satisfaction. This is always how I am especially when it comes to art, so "Kessaku-san" is how I wish to be known. Simple. The other main reason I would rather be known by a pen name is because, for some strange reason, there seems to be a gajillion other "Emi Nakamura's" and artists named Emi swarming the internet. I've never even met anyone with my name for goodness sake. Google has no mercy on me apparently.
Anyway, I wanna let you know too, that philosophical ideas––namely Hirameki and Synchronicity––play a huge role in my life and my art, so I will be blogging about them in the future, who knows when. They'll be more meaningful and less boring than this, though. I promise! I hope it will inspire you as much as it has inspired me!

I was wondering why you called yourself Kessaku for a while, Emi-chan. But yeah... I hope you can bring out yourself in your art as you usually do.
Dreams are what makes us go. Love is what makes us happy and keep moving more. Does that make any sense?
